Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have completed the signing of right-back Ebenezer Adade from Dreams FC on a three-year contract, strengthening their defence ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The Tarkwa-based club confirmed the experienced full-back will remain with the Mauve and Yellow until 2029 as they continue to build their squad for a demanding season.
Adade arrives at Medeama after a strong spell with Dreams FC, where his regular and consistent performances led to his first call-up to the Black Stars. The move represents the next step in the career of the former Cheetah FC player, who has established himself as a dependable option at right-back.
His senior international debut came in Ghana’s pre-2026 FIFA World Cup friendly against Mexico. Adade started the match as the Black Stars were beaten 2-0.
Medeama believe the defender’s arrival will add both quality and depth to their backline. The club are preparing to defend their Ghana Premier League title while also returning to the CAF Champions League, increasing the demands on their squad across domestic and continental competition.
The Ghanaian champions are currently holding a three-week pre-season training camp in Cote d’Ivoire as preparations continue for the new campaign. Adade is expected to join his new team-mates there and begin working with the squad.
His signing is the latest move by Medeama to reinforce their squad before the start of the 2026/27 season. The club will need to balance their title defence in the Ghana Premier League with their return to the CAF Champions League, where additional defensive options could prove important.
Adade’s experience at Dreams FC and his emergence into the Black Stars setup helped attract Medeama’s interest. His performances for Dreams FC earned him an opportunity at international level, and he now moves to the reigning Ghana Premier League champions on a long-term agreement.
The right-back will be expected to compete for a place in Medeama’s defensive unit and provide the squad with another experienced player as the club prepares for the season ahead. His arrival also gives the Mauve and Yellow greater depth in a position they will rely on during their domestic title defence and continental campaign.
Medeama’s three-week camp in Cote d’Ivoire will provide Adade with his first opportunity to link up with his new colleagues before competitive action begins. The club’s preparations are focused on ensuring the squad is ready for the challenge of retaining the Ghana Premier League title and competing again in the CAF Champions League.
