Medeama SC bounce back with 2-0 victory against Legon Cities despite red card

Medeama SC, despite being reduced to ten men, secured a 2-0 victory against Legon Cities at the El-Wak Stadium, marking a significant bounce back from their previous 3-1 loss to Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Tarkwa-based team displayed their determination and quality, making a profound statement as they handed Legon Cities their first home defeat of the season.

Their goals came in each half of the game, with Mamudu Kamaradin finding the net in the 44th minute with a powerful header from a free kick.

Notably, Medeama played the second half with just 10 players due to a second yellow card that led to defender Godknows Dzakpasu’s expulsion.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Medeama SC continued to battle, and their efforts were rewarded when Kofi Asmah added a second goal in the 59th minute.

Legon Cities attempted a comeback, but Medeama SC held firm to secure their second consecutive victory against Legon Cities at the El-Wak Stadium.
