Medeama rejects Annor Walker approach to replace Prince Owusu

Medeama have dismissed press reports in Ghana that the club has agreed a deal with Annor Walker for him to replace Prince Owusu.

Media reports in the West African country has been awashed with news the Berekum Chelsea youth coach has been lined up as one of the numerous suitors for the job.

Departing Prince Owusu recommended Walker to the club but the Tarkwa-based side ave flatl denied they are considering signing him.

“There is no truth in the reports. In fact we don’t even know where they are coming from,” Medeama president Moses Armah told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We have no such plans of signing him. He’s not part of the coaches we’re considering at the moment.

“In due course we’ll announce the new coach for the club so I will urge our supporters to be patient with us.”

Medeama are in the market scouring for a new coach following the imminent departure of Prince Owusu.

The former Tema Youth man is leaving for Sudanese to take up an appointment as the assistant coach of ambitious top-flight side Al Khartoum.
