Medeama midfielder Godfred Abban confident club will retain Ghana Premier League title

Medeama midfielder Godfred Abban has expressed confidence in his outfit to retain the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.

The Yellow and Mauves are currently sixth on the domestic top-flight table with 36 points after 25 matches into the campaign so far.

With nine games to end the season, Abban has expressed optimism about his outfit retaining the title.

The 22-year-old exhibited an outstanding performance to help his outfit silence struggling Hearts of Oak at the Akoon Community Park on Wednesday.

Abban fired home from long range to help Medeama seal a 2-0 win over the Phobians in the week 25 fixture.

Speaking to StarTimes, Abban affirmed his side will win the Ghana Premier League for the second time running.

“We will retain the Ghana Premier League” he said after the game.

Medeama will host Legon Cities in matchday 26 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
