“Maybe it was God’s plan” – Godwin Attram after FA Cup semifinal loss

Head coach of Division One side Attram De Visser, Godwin Attram, has praised Golden Kick FC for their impressive performance following his team’s 3–1 defeat in the MTN FA Cup semifinal.

“Both clubs have proven they are among the best in Division One, but the biggest congratulations go to Golden Kick for winning today.”

Reflecting on the match at TNA Park, Attram acknowledged that Golden Kick started strongly and capitalized on early chances.

They played well, especially in the first half. They came in with intensity and scored their goals early,” he said. “It’s always difficult to come back from 3–0 down. My players made some mistakes, which are normal in football, but by then, time wasn’t on our side. Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be; maybe it was God’s plan.”

Golden Kick now advance to their first-ever FA Cup final and will face the winner of Sunday’s semifinal clash between Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea.
