Nsoatreman FC head coach Maxwell Konadu has expressed his excitement after leading Nsoatreman FC to an FA Cup triumph.
Nsoatreman FC won the title on penalties, defeating Bofoakwa Tano FC 5-4 in the shootout on Sunday evening.
Richard Dzikoe had opened the scoring in the 22nd minute for Bofoakwa Tano, but Sadat Mohammed levelled the score in the 79th minute at the Legon Sports Complex.
“For sure, I knew we would do well. I am very excited, and the self-belief to accept the Nsoatreman contract is very important for everyone,” Maxwell told JoySports.
“I knew we would do well, but I never knew we would win the FA Cup. I thank everybody for the support, especially our players and board of directors. It was very difficult even at times when we were down and wasting chances.”
The Bono-based club will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup competition next season.
