Former Ghana international Matthew Amoah has rejoined Dutch outfit NAC Breda, this time stepping into a backroom role as the club reshapes its technical structure.
Amoah will work alongside ex-teammate Anouar Diba, with both men tasked with sharpening the team’s attacking play and improving the output of the forwards.
Their appointment comes at a crucial moment for NAC, who are battling at the foot of the Eredivisie table this season.
Welcoming the duo, NAC technical director Peter Maas highlighted the value they bring from years of hands-on development work within the club.
“With the addition of Matthew and Anouar, we’re adding specific expertise to the current coaching staff,” Maas said.
“Both have been doing excellent and focused work with our youth players at the NAC Youth Academy for quite some time, and they’ll now do the same with the first team.”
Amoah is no stranger to the club, having enjoyed a prolific spell as a striker between 2007 and 2011.
Diba also carries deep knowledge of NAC’s culture after several seasons as a first-team player earlier in his career.
