Former Black Stars forward Matthew Amoah accompanied his son, Matthew Amoah Jr, as he signed his first professional contract with Feyenoord, lasting until 2027.
Amoah Jr, an attacking midfielder at the Dutch-based club, rose through the youth setup and has since impressed.
Just like his father, who began his career at the age of 16 at Vitesse Arnhem, Amoah Jr hopes to follow suit in showcasing his attacking prowess.
Matthew Amoah Sr spent much of his career playing in the Dutch league, featuring notably for Vitesse Arnhem, Fortuna Sittard (loan), NAC Breda, and Heracles Almelo.
His instinctive goalscoring ability led to him being capped 42 times for the Black Stars between 2002 and 2011, scoring 12 times in that span.
Amoah Jr will miss the guidance of outgoing Feyenoord manager Arne Slot but is on the right trajectory to reach the next level.
