Chelsea FC defender Marcos Alonso is in advanced talks with FC Barcelona over a possible move in the summer.
Barcelona are in search of a left-back to offer competition for Jordi Alba and has settled for Valencia’s Jose Luis Gaya and Alonso with SPORT reporting that the club’s President Joan Laporta dining with Valencia hierarchy on Tuesday to discuss Gaya.
Gaya is out of contract in 2023 and has a renewal offer but Valencia are willing to sell him to balance their financial books but Barca prefers Alonso at this moment due to his experience.

The reports say that talks to sign the Spanish defender on a three-year deal are advanced, pending Alonso talking with Chelsea to let him leave this summer.
Alonso also has a contract until 2023 and has also been approached by Atletico Madrid, but he wants to move to Camp Nou and hopes Chelsea will negotiate.
