Hakim Ziyech has seen himself linked with a move to Manchester United over the weekend.
Ziyech signed for Chelsea in 2020, agreeing to move in February before eventually linking up with the club in July.
The Blues are believed to have paid £36m to land the Moroccan. At the time, that seemed like a great bit of business.
‘The Wizard’ had been one of Ajax’s standout stars for several years and had shown his talent against Chelsea in a Champions League group stage tie, providing three assists in an enthralling 4-4 draw.
However, since his move to England, Ziyech has struggled for form on a consistent basis.
And with the arrival of Raheem Sterling, coupled with Chelsea’s apparent eagerness to strengthen on the right flank – they were heavily linked with Raphinha before he chose Barcelona – it seems obvious that Ziyech has no real future under Thomas Tuchel at the Bridge.
Now, as mentioned above, the 29-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
According to transfer journalist Dean Jones, speaking to GiveMeSport, United could make a move for Ziyech this summer.
“The Ziyech move to AC Milan has stuttered a little and if that situation drags on let’s not rule out the idea that Ten Hag looks to take him to United instead,” said Jones.

Ziyech was one of Erik ten Hag’s standout stars at Ajax before his switch to Chelsea, and, as Man United don’t have too many wide options at present, signing a player of the Moroccan’s quality could represent smart business.
Of course, there is a risk that Ziyech continues to be inconsistent in the Premier League, but if anyone can get him performing well, it is likely to be Ten Hag.
