Manchester City are set to submit an opening bid for Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella.
The Pep Guardiola side is in the market for a new left-back with Benjamin Mendy set to be out for a long period of time due to the court cases that saw him miss a chunk of last season.
The 23-year-old has a contract with Brighton until 2026 and will expect top dollar for their star performer, with reports suggesting this could be as much as £50 million, more than triple the price he was bought for a year ago according to reports from Fabrizio Romano.
The Spanish Left-back has been one of the Seagulls’ best players this season after he was brought to the club from Getafe last summer for a fee of £15.4million.

Brighton boss Graham Potter is said to be reluctant in losing the player as they are set to sell Yves Bissouma to Spurs too and feels that parting ways with some of his core players will shake his side.
The amount being mentioned however might be too good to turn down for the player and the club hierarchy with the team set to be forced to look elsewhere for replacements.
