Man United issue response to Richard Arnold leaked videos

After footage showing Manchester United chief executive Richard Arnold discussing club affairs with supporters in a pub surfaced online, the club released an official statement.

Arnold was seen on cell phone footage chatting to dissatisfied United fans about a variety of topics.

Outside Arnold’s house, a group of supporters prepared to protest the Glazers’ ownership and other issues, but the CEO instead brought them to a bar to talk things over.

Arnold appeared to be unaware that he was being videotaped, and Manchester United have issued a comment on the matter.

“Richard heard that a group of fans had gathered in a pub near his house,” a club spokesperson said.

“He went to meet them, bought them all a drink, listened to their views, and explained what the club is doing to deliver success on the pitch, improve the stadium, and strengthen engagement with fans.”

Man United’s pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong was one of the numerous topics captured on tape, with Arnold stating that money isn’t a factor in their recruitment intentions this summer.

Arnold also discussed prior transfer windows, admitting that he is “not delighted” with the club’s current situation after spending approximately £1 billion in the market.
