Manchester United have been handed a tiple injury boost ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against top-four rivals, Arsenal.
Three of the club’s players who did not feature in the defeat to Liverpool earlier this week trained on Thursday, giving coach Ralf Rangnick some needed boost.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Scott McTominay, and Raphael Varane were all pictured in training at Carrington grounds ahead of Saturday’s early kick-off.
Ronaldo missed the clash against Liverpool to spend some time with his family, following news of the death of his newborn son.
McTominay has recovered from a recent injury and was an unused sub against Liverpool in midweek.
Meanwhile, Varane, who has been absent for each of United’s last three games since the 1-1 draw with Leicester at the beginning of April has also recovered and could make the team against the Gunners.
United will however miss the services of Paul Pogba, who picked a thigh injury against Klopp’s outfit.
The midfielder is expected to be out for at least two weeks, meaning he will miss the clash at Emirates as well as next week’s match against Chelsea.
Fred also faces a race to be fit, having picked up a hip flexor problem at Goodison Park on 9 April, as United lost 1-0 to Everton.
Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw have been termed ‘long-term’ absentees, and are not expected back until at least May.
