The dancehall artist is billed to perform in London at the Total Energies 2025 AFCON trophy tour – an initiative rooted in connecting Africans in the diaspora back to their roots – alongside Nigeria’s Odumodublvck on November 28.
The jiggle and whine hitmaker shared a joke with some players of the Black Queens – including vice captain Jennifer Cudjoe and Princella Adubea at the airport – while taking pictures and videos with them as he made his way to go on board.
“Big ups to the Black Queens. I’m wishing you all the best on Tuesday. Make sure you kick some legs out there, he said.”
The Black Queens are set to take on England’s Lionesses in a first-ever meeting at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Tuesday, December 2.
Having secured qualification to the 2026 WAFCON by swatting aside Egypt in the qualifiers, the Black Queens face a stern test against Sarina Wiegman’s England side, who claimed the Women’s European Championship in 2024.
The 2024 WAFCON bronze medalist, however, view it as the perfect opportunity to build themselves for next year’s WAFCON, with the high-profile friendly “much-needed.”
Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has already put out a 24-team squad, handing a recall to midfielder Anasthesia Achiaa while Italy-born Ghanaian defender Benedicte Simon was given a maiden call-up.
