Majeed Waris joins Anorthosis Famagusta

Ghana striker, Abdul Majeed Waris has completed a free move to Anorthosis Famagusta in the Cypriot First Division.

The 30-year-old arrives from French Ligue 1 side RB Strasbourg who decided against keeping him beyond the two-year contract they signed him for from FC Porto in 2020.

Moving on, Waris has signed a two-year deal with Anorthosis Famagusta.

The 13-time Cypriot champions published Thursday: “Anorthosis Famagusta announces the signing of a contract with footballer Abdul Majeed Waris. The agreement lasts until the summer of 2024.

“We welcome the footballer to our team and wish him every success with the “Phoenix” on his chest.”

Waris has previously enjoyed stints with clubs like FC Nantes, FC Lorient, Trabzonspor, Spartak Moscow, Valenciennes and BK Hacken.
