Majeed Ashimeru back from illness to feature for RSC Anderlecht

Midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has returned from illness for RSC Anderlecht in the Belgium Pro Jupiller League.

The highly-rated midfielder was on sick bed after Anderlecht played against West Ham in London two weeks ago.

Ashimeru had to celebrate his 25th birthday on the sideline.

But made a return and featured in his side’s  3-1 defeat to Standard Liege on Sunday.

The former Red Bull Salzburg midfielder has eight outings and scored two goals with an assist for Anderlecht in the 2022/23 season.

Ashimeru has been linked in Black Stars coach Otto Addo’s provisional list for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November.
