LUCA GOTTI IS THE NEW COACH OF SPEZIA CALCIO –

Luca Gotti will be the new coach of Spezia Calcio, whom he will lead for the next two seasons.

Mister Gotti for everyone is the Prof, a title coined after he obtained two degrees in Sports Science and Pedagogy, which also earned him a chair at the University of Milan.

A career as a stopper lived between Serie D and C2, before hanging up his football boots and dedicating himself to the coach’s life. First the Giovanissimi Nazionali of AC Milan, then experiences in D with Montebelluna, Pievigina and Bassano Virtus. Between 2004 and 2006, Gotti returned to youth football with two experiences with Reggina’s Primavera team and, above all, the National Under-17 team, in the latter adventure strongly desired by the then FIGC vice-commissioner Demetrio Albertini, who had appreciated Gotti’s great work at AC Milan.

After the two years in the Azzurri, the coach, born in Adria, moved on to Treviso and Trieste, and then dedicated himself to the new role of ‘deputy’. He worked with Donadoni at Cagliari, Parma, and Bologna, then at Chelsea with Sarri, where he won the Europa League in Baku. He followed Tudor at Udinese, until being appointed the new coach of the Friulani on 1 November 2019. A two-year period full of satisfaction brought Gotti all the way to Spezia, where surprising is now almost normal.
