Liverpool & Juventus tipped for surprise player exchange deal

Word stemming from the Italian media on Thursday has pointed towards an altogether surprising potential exchange deal between Serie A giants Juventus, and Premier League counterparts Liverpool.

The two stars tipped to swap clubs ahead of next season? Adrien Rabiot and Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool fans will of course have stumbled upon links between their side and Rabiot over recent days, amid suggestions that the French international could make the move to Anfield, with Naby Keita heading in the other direction.

As alluded to above, though, it has today been reported that Juve have set their sights on another member of Jurgen Klopp’s ranks at Anfield, in the form of the aforementioned Firmino.

As per a report from Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb, ongoing discussions between the boards at the two clubs have seen the name of hitman Firmino come to the fore.

Massimiliano Allegri and co. are understood to be keen on the idea of luring Firmino to Turin, to provide competition for, and an alternative option to Dusan Vlahovic.

The Bianconeri, in turn, are hopeful of taking advantage of Liverpool’s alleged interest in Rabiot, to land the Brazilian this summer.

Any such move, though, would also require the powers that be at the Allianz Stadium to part with a cash sum, with Firmino understood to be valued at €10 – 15 million more than Juve’s transfer-linked midfielder.
