Legionary Soccer Academy sends three players abroad to sign professional contracts

In a significant leap towards realizing their football aspirations, three promising players from Ghana’s Division Two League team, Legionary Soccer Academy, have secured professional contracts with European clubs.

The trio, comprising Anthony Kwofie, Kelvin Obeng Amankwah, and Awuku Amewugah, embarked on their journey to their respective new clubs in Turkey and Poland on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Anthony Kwofie and Kelvin Obeng Amankwah are set to wear the jersey of Boluspor Kulubu in the Turkish Lig 1, while Awuku Amewugah will move to MKS Polonia Przemysl in the lower tier division in Poland.

Boluspor Kulubu is currently 9th in the Turkish Lig 1 while MKS Polonia Przemysl is 16th in the Polish IV. Liga. The three players are anticipated to nail down a starting position, and help their respective clubs improve their performance.

This monumental move was facilitated following their exceptional performances in the “Ahenfo Peace and Love Cup” scouting tournament organized by Legionary Soccer Academy, Ghana, in December 2023.

Sesame Ltd’s Ensar Ozdemir from Turkey combined with Australia-based Zenith Sports and Events Management, and Football Youth Talents Management in the United Kingdom to organize the tournament.
