“League position means nothing” – Dramani cautions Hearts ahead of Bechem

Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has called for focus and discipline from his players as they prepare to face Bechem United in Week 21 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians will host Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, February 1, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm. Hearts head into the fixture on the back of improved form, having won two of their last three league matches, and are keen to maintain momentum as they close the gap on the top sides.

Despite the recent upswing, Dramani insists league position should not influence his team’s approach, stressing that full concentration will be required against a dangerous Bechem side.

“I think it is all about the now and then into the future. What has happened before is gone, and what is at stake is what we need to be looking at,” Dramani told Hearts TV.

“We are focusing on areas we need to improve and areas we must consolidate. Bechem United have one of the finest squads, regardless of their position on the league log.”

The former Asante Kotoko coach highlighted the importance of preparation and game control, noting that only a disciplined performance will yield the desired result.

“We need to prepare adequately so we can control good parts of the game, and hopefully when we do that, we can come out with the best outcome,” he added.

Hearts of Oak will be aiming to capitalize on home advantage as they continue their push up the league table, while Bechem United arrive in Accra hoping to frustrate the Phobians and pick up a positive result.
