Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed midfielder Fabinho will miss Sunday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea.
The German tactician is however optimistic the Brazilian will be available before the end of the season and could feature in the Champions League final.
The Reds’ No.3 was forced off in the first half of Tuesday’s Premier League victory at Aston Villa due to a muscular injury.
Offering an update on Thursday, Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “There’s a good chance that he will be back whenever – not for the weekend but whenever.”
He is the only major concern for Klopp, whose side will be playing in their second final this year, having faced the Blues again in the League Cup final early this year.
The Reds are still in the running for a quadruple as they have a Champions League final and are in with a shout for the English Premier League title.
