Kylian Mbappe sets Real Madrid decision date ahead of potential move

Kylian Mbappe sets Real Madrid decision date

Kylian Mbappe has vowed to make the announcement on the decision of his club for next season by the beginning of June.

The French ace has been subject to ongoing speculation regarding a potential move to Real Madrid, and Los Blancos saw two bids rejected for the 23-year-old on deadline day of the 2021 summer transfer window.

And the saga has dragged on since, with PSG desperate to keep their star man but looking increasingly unlikely to remain in Paris this summer, with his contract up this summer and no signs of a new one being signed.

However, while Mbappe has admitted that his decision is made, he is yet to announce it, with one game left to play of a Ligue 1 campaign that PSG sealed the title of a long time ago.

Speaking at the ceremony that crowned him the best player in the league for the third successive season, he told the media that a decision will be announced before he joins the French National team for their Nations League games in June.

‘I will officially announce my decision on the future before I join the France national team in June. It’s a matter of days then it will be official’, he claimed.

‘It will be known very soon, it’s almost done. My decision is made, yes, almost.’

Real Madrid’s eggs in Frenchman’s basket

Having missed out on Erling Haaland, who joined Manchester City, it seems as though Los Blancos are pinning all hopes of revitalising their front line on Mbappe.

Eden Hazard is set to stay another season, and alongside Rodrygo and Marco Asensio offer competent backup to the front three, but Mbappe would be a statement of intent that the Spanish club are heading back to the Galactico model that bought them so much success.
