Asante Kotoko Interim Management Committee member Kwesi Appiah says he’s confident the Porcupine Warriors will give a strong account of themselves when they take on South African giants Kaizer Chiefs in the Toyota Cup.
Speaking during a reception at KNUST for a visiting Chiefs delegation, Appiah highlighted the importance of the friendly, which kicks off July 28 in South Africa.
“I believe my players here are not going to let me down,” he said. “The Toyota Cup game is going to be very entertaining. I hope that we continue this relationship because it shouldn’t be a one-year thing.”
The clash marks a revival of ties between the two clubs and is aimed at fostering long-term collaboration on and off the pitch.
