Asante Kotoko secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Samartex FC in Week 24 of the Ghana Premier League at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Saturday.
The match began with both teams displaying impressive passes, setting the tone for an intense encounter.
Dramani Awuah scored in the 39th minute, giving Samartex FC the lead in the first half.
However, Kotoko quickly responded in the second half, with Kwame Opoku scoring just two minute in to level the game.
Despite the draw, Kotoko remains at the top of the table with 38 points, while Samartex FC sit in ninth position with 29 points.
Kotoko’s next match is against Young Apostles, and Samartex FC will face Medeama SC.
