President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has shared his concerns over the growing injury list in the Black Stars camp ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
With the tournament drawing closer, several key players under coach Otto Addo are battling fitness issues.
Centre-back Mohammed Salisu will miss the competition after sustaining an ACL injury.
Midfielder Abu Francis and attacking star Mohammed Kudus are also recovering from injuries at their clubs.
The situation has raised tension among supporters as Ghana prepares for the global tournament.
“I’m concerned, and everybody is concerned about the number of players in the medical room as you speak now. But I’m very positive. I’m a very positive person,” he said in an interview with the GFA Media team.
“I always believe that everything and anything is possible, and our job is to work as much as we can. Our job is to pray as much as we can for the Almighty God to bless us, and we leave the rest to him.
“We’ll do our part, and we know that our part will be enough to make Ghana proud.”
The Black Stars are scheduled to step up preparations next month with international friendlies against Austria and Germany as they build toward the World Cup.
