Ajax fans will be delighted to hear that Ghanaian midfielder Kudus Mohammed is set to make his return to the pitch for their upcoming home game against AZ Alkmaar.
The 22-year-old had been sidelined due to an injury sustained during a match against Feyenoord in the Dutch Cup semi-finals last month, causing him to miss out on three games, of which Ajax won two.
Although Kudus was expected to make his comeback during the Dutch Cup final against PSV Eindhoven on Sunday, April 30th, he was ultimately held back for further recovery. However, he has now been declared fit to feature in Ajax’s upcoming game against AZ Alkmaar, as confirmed by the club.
Kudus is an integral player for Ajax, having scored 18 goals and provided five assists in 38 games across all competitions. He also made an impact on the international stage, scoring two goals in three games for Ghana during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. His impressive performances have caught the attention of top Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool, who are reportedly keen on signing him this summer.
All eyes will be on Kudus as he returns to the pitch, and Ajax fans will be hoping he can help secure a win against AZ Alkmaar.
