Asante Kotoko has received a total of GH¢180,000 after winning the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup title.
The Porcupine Warriors defeated Golden Kick FC 2-1 in the final, claiming their 10th FA Cup title.
According to Wilson Arthur, Chairman of the FA Cup Committee, Kotoko will receive GH¢80,000 in prize money.
Additionally, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will provide GH¢100,000 to support the team’s upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
The financial package aims to help Kotoko prepare adequately for the continental competition.
The team’s victory in the FA Cup final was sealed by Kwame Opoku’s brace, including a penalty in the final minutes.
The win marks a significant achievement for Kotoko, and the financial support will be crucial in their bid to make an impact in the CAF Confederation Cup.
With this funding, Kotoko is expected to strengthen their squad and make a strong showing in the competition.
