Kotoko to report Ivorian side FC Adjame to FIFA over Toure

Kotoko to report Ivorian side FC Adjame to FIFA over Toure

Kotoko will report Ivorian club Athletic FC Adjame to FIFA over their pursuit of their striker Ahmed Toure.

The never-ending episode between the player and the club took a new twist after the 24-year-old claimed he was possession of documents that will validate his exit from the Ghanaian Champions.

Toure claims the document has been sent to the world governing body, Fifa for ratification before he finally seal the move to the lower division side.

But the Kumasi-based insist the former Africa Sports attacker remains their bonafied property and warns any club that attempt to lure him away without following laid down processes will face the wrath of FIFA.

“We are not thinking about  Ahmed Toure at all. We are only thinking about how  to  put things together in the coming season,” Kotoko’s administrative manager Ben Nti told Kumasi-based Fox FM

“We are just here and watching. If he kicks a ball for that team or any other team, then we will see,”

“We can’t say anything. We just have to report the club to FIFA, and their laws will apply,”

“Nobody in Kotoko can write a letter without my consent and the Executive Chairman. That is what I will tell you.”

The controversial star striker fell out with the club’s hierarchy after he was suspended for overstaying a compassionate leave.

Toure claims his contract has expired while the Porcupine Warriors insist he is contracted to the club till December 2012.

He was voted the MVP for the 2010/2011 Ghana Premier League season.
