Head of Sporting Affairs at Asante Kotoko, Kwesi Appiah, has pledged support for head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum in strengthening the team during the transfer window.
This move follows the unexpected departure of two Sudanese players, AbdoelKarem Yagoub and Esmat Abdulhamid who absconded during a US trip for a friendly against DC United.
The two players were among 12 players signed by Asante Kotoko after ending marriage with over 20 players in the summer transfer window.
“We did not get a lot players for the first round,” Appiah said in an exclusive interview with Asempa FM.
“At some point, we had issues with selection because of injuries. If the coach submits what he needs, we will support him.”
Kotoko are on the 7th position on the Ghana Premier League table with 18 points.
They will face Hearts of Oak in a super clash on December 15 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
