The Interim Management Committee of Asante Kotoko will hold an emergency meeting with head coach Karim Zito this week as pressure mounts following the club’s poor run of results.
Zito is under intense scrutiny after Kotoko went four matches without a win, suffering consecutive defeats to Basake Holy Stars and Hohoe United. The Porcupine Warriors currently sit 5th on the Ghana Premier League table with 21 points after 13 matches of the 2025/26 season.
The crisis talks will be led by IMC chairman Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, although it remains unclear whether any decision will be taken regarding Zito’s future.
Zito was appointed permanently after guiding Kotoko to FA Cup glory, defeating Golden Kick FC in the final.
Kotoko will look to steady the ship when they host Dreams FC in the Matchday 14 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium.
