Kotoko book Confederation Cup return as Karim Zito secures second FA Cup title

Asante Kotoko are back in the CAF Confederation Cup after lifting the 2024/25 FA Cup.

The Porcupines beat Golden Kick 2-1 in the final at the University of Ghana Stadium to seal their 10th title in the competition.

The victory also hands coach Karim Zito his second FA Cup crown after guiding Dreams FC to glory in 2023.

Zito had earlier led Dreams to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup in their debut campaign.

Though appointed as interim head coach before assuming the role of technical director, his future on the Kotoko bench remains uncertain.

For Kotoko, It marks their first return to continental action since 2022.
