A member of the Asante Kotoko board, Yaw Adu has disclosed that the club will allow Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum to leave if he insists on resigning from his role.

A meeting with the management of the club reportedly ended badly in midweek as the gaffer expressed his intention to resign.

Amid the uncertainty over the future of the Asante Kotoko head coach, it has now become clear he will not be stopped from leaving.

The technical committee chairman on the club’s board, Yaw Adu has indicated that the door is opened if the coach insists on leaving.

“I will appeal to the fans to stay calm as we bring peace between them and see the way forward, especially our African campaign.

“We will allow the coach to leave if he expresses the desire to leave and if that decision is irrevocable,” Yaw Adu told Akoma FM in an interview.

Footballghana has learned that there will be a meeting between the board and the coach on Monday, July 25, to bring finality to the issue.
