Newly appointed Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah says he is confident the club will retain its Ghana Premier League status despite a slow start to the 2025/26 season.
Amissah takes charge following the dismissal of Desmond Isaac-Botchway and his assistant Bright Anthony Konadu after a run of just one win, three draws, and four defeats in the Hunters’ opening eight games.
Speaking after his unveiling, the experienced coach urged calm among supporters, insisting there is still enough time to turn the season around.
“The league is still young; we have about 25 matches left, so there’s plenty of time. We’re going to bounce back strongly and make sure we do the right things,” Amissah said. “We just need to concentrate, follow instructions, and execute our game plan properly.”
Bechem United currently sit 16th on the league table with six points from nine matches. Amissah’s immediate priority will be to restore confidence and consistency as he looks to steer the team away from the relegation zone.
