Cheltenham Town have signed English-Ghanaian forward Kirsten Otchere on a season-long loan from Leicester City, giving the club an additional attacking option ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The move also represents an important opportunity for Otchere, who will be able to gain regular senior experience after progressing through Leicester City’s academy.
The young striker arrives at Cheltenham Town after an encouraging campaign at Under-21 level and a productive pre-season with Leicester City’s first team. He scored nine goals and provided three assists in 16 Premier League 2 appearances last season, before adding another three goals and two assists in cup competitions.
His performances have continued to attract attention during the summer. Otchere made four appearances for Leicester City’s first team in pre-season, scoring against Bristol Rovers, Burton Albion and Cadiz. He also supplied two assists in the match against Northampton Town.
Cheltenham Town manager Steve Cotterill believes Otchere has the ambition and ability to continue developing during his time with the club. The arrival strengthens the Robins’ attacking options as they prepare for the new season.
