Kevin-Prince Boateng announces retirement date

Ghanaian International, Kevin-Prince Boateng has disclosed that the impending campaign will be his last in his football career.

The German born Ghanaian who played for the Black Stars will end his career after next season.

The attacking midfielder announced this on Tuesday at the Hertha training camp in Kienbaum Germany.

“This is my last season as an active professional footballer,”

“It doesn’t matter what happens. Even if we play the Champions League next season this is my last season in club football.”

Few works ago, the 35-year-old extended his contract in Berlin for another season.

He has played for Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, FC Barcelona, Monza, Dortmund etc.

Boateng  was a key member of Ghana’s squad that played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
