Coach Karim Zito has resigned from his role as the head coach of Asante Kotoko.
His decision comes on the back of the FA Cup Round of 16 elimination after defeat to Aduana FC.
Kotoko have struggled for consistency this season with just two wins in 2026.
“Abdul Karim Zito Kabutey has resigned from his role as Head Coach of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club with immediate effect,” the club announced.
“Management has accepted the resignation, expressed its appreciation to the coach for his services and wished him the best in his future endeavours.”
Zito won four trophies including the FA Cup following his appointment at the tail end of last season.
However, he now leaves the club with no domestic cup competition and eight points behind leaders Medeama in the Ghana Premier League table.
