Ghanaian sensation, Kamaldeen Sulemana has made the final shortlist for the CAF Young Player of the Year Award (Men).
Sulemana made the final 10 players nominated to compete for the coveted award but will now have to face competition from four players to bag the prestigious prize.
Dango Ouattara (Burkina Faso & Lorient), Karim Konate (Cote d’Ivoire & ASEC/RB Salzburg), Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal & Metz) and Hannibal Mejbri (Tunisia & Manchester United) are the quartet.
Kamaldeen joined Stade Rennes last summer for 20million and has been instrumental for the club.
He has made 20 appearances, scoring four goals and providing two assists last season.
His influence caught the attention of CAF and that led to his nomination for the CAF Young Player of the Year award.
He was in Ghana’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, his first senior tournament with the national team.
This year’s CAF Awards will be held on Thursday, 21 July 2022 in Morocco.
