Juventus seek info about Partey’s Arsenal situation – reports

Ghana international Thomas Partey is reportedly wanted by Italian powerhouse Juventus.

The Bianconeri have gotten in touch with Arsenal about a potential summer deal for the midfielder, claims transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

Partey was crucial to Arsenal’s campaign in the 2022/23 season when they came close to winning the Premier League.

But this summer, the 30-year-old may be traded to earn transfer money for Mikel Arteta.

Declan Rice has been the subject of two bid rejections from West Ham, but Arsenal is anticipated to make a third offer.

Even if they are unsuccessful in signing Rice, the Gunners could be willing to let Partey depart.

The former Atletico Madrid player, who has scored five goals in 99 appearances for Arsenal since signing from the Spanish club in 2020, has piqued the curiosity of Saudi Arabia.

According to 90min, Arsenal has given Partey permission to pursue a transfer to the Saudi Pro League. Three years after the midfielder’s £45m transfer from Atletico Madrid, the 90min report claimed that the Gunners are even confident of making a profit on him.

Now, according to transfer guru Romano, Juventus is also interested in landing Partey this summer.

It comes at a time Juventus are waiting to understand the future of France international and Manchester United target Adrien Rabiot, to whom a contract has been offered.

“Juventus have also asked info for Thomas Partey after Saudi clubs also approaching the midfielder,” tweeted Romano.

“Saudi clubs are prepared to bid €40m in three instalments but nothing agreed yet on player side.

“Juventus are informed, waiting for Rabiot’s future too.”
