The agent for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber is in England to discuss a move to Manchester United.
There have been reports that incoming United manager Erik ten Haag wants a new central defender for the club and has earmarked Timber for a move and journalist Jonathan Shrager has now revealed that while a move to United isn’t exactly close, Timber’s camp is in England for talks with the Red Devils.
“At this moment, Timber to Manchester United is not done, and there is competition from other clubs. But Jurrien’s representation is currently in England to learn about MUFC’s plans,” he stated.

The 22-year-old has developed tremendously under Ten Hag at Ajax and the Dutchman wants to continue with him at Old Trafford as he seeks to address the club’s defensive mistakes that saw United finish the season with a zero goal difference.
Should United get the player, they will be striking gold as the player is capable of playing in different positions in defense after slotting at center back and right back for his club.
