In-form Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil scored his 10th goal of the campaign as KRC Genk came from behind to win 3-2 at KAA Gent in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday.
Hyunseok Hong gave the hosts an early lead after 9 minutes.
But Paintsil hit back for Genk to level in the 23rd minute. He dribbled past the keeper before hitting a low strike between the legs of Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha.
Substitute Yira Sor completed the turnaround for Genk with his first touch – a header – in the 67th minute.
Paintsil was substituted in the 84th minute.
Genk added the third on the counter through debutant Tolu Arokodare in the 86th minute.
Two minutes from time, goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt misjudged a deep ball allowing Gent’s Laurent Depoitre to make it 3-2.
Joseph Paintsil has so far scored 10 goals in 24 league games for KRC Genk who lead with 62 points. He also has 12 assists to his name.
