Belgian side KRC Genk have swiftly moved to tie in-form Ghana international Joseph Paintsil to a new contract.
The Jupiler Pro League outfit, on Wednesday, announced the winger has extended his stay by three more seasons – until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
“Joseph Paintsil has extended his contract with our club until the summer of 2026.
“The current contract of the Ghanaian winger ran until the summer of 2023,” portions of a club statement read.
The 24-year-old has been on fire in the ongoing 2022/23 season, bagging 4 goals and 2 assists in his first 8 games.
“We are already looking forward to what else Joseph can conjure up from his right foot.
“We are therefore proud to associate Joseph with our club for a longer period of time and wish him every success,” the statement added.
Joseph Paintsil joined Genk in 2018. He recently made his 100th appearance for the side.
