Jordan Ayew praises Roy Hodgson for Crystal Palace turnaround

Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has praised veteran manager Roy Hodgson for the results since his return to the club.

The gaffer replaced Patrick Vieira in March after a bad run of performances this season.

Palace aims to move clear off the relegation spots at the end of the English Premier League season and that’s Hogdson’s job.

And Ayew, speaking after the team’s 5-1 win over Leeds United over the weekend, says there’s confidence again.

“It’s not been easy – we’ve been struggling [earlier this season] – but since the manager came in, he’s done a good job giving us back the confidence.

“To express ourselves, and that’s what we’re doing. I’m pleased with our performance. We stuck to our game plan.”

Jordan continued: “It wasn’t easy at the beginning, but this is the Premier League and you’re playing against good sides.

“Sometimes it’s going to be difficult. You just need to get through it and when you have your moments, you punish them.”

In the 5-1 win over Leeds United, Jordan Ayew bagged a brace and they currently lie 12th on the Premier League table.
