Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah has been asked to return to Dar es Salaam following a disciplinary matter at Simba SC.
The incident occurred ahead of Simba’s league fixture against Tanzania Prisons in Mbeya.
Reports indicate the forward allegedly declined an instruction from the club’s fitness coach to assist with carrying team equipment.
Sowah was not part of the matchday squad at the time of the incident.
The situation reportedly created tension within the team’s camp and was brought to the attention of the technical bench.
Head coach Steve Barker responded by directing the player to travel back to Dar es Salaam.
He is expected to meet club management to address the issue.
A decision will then be taken regarding his future involvement with the squad.
Meanwhile, Simba secured a 2-0 victory over Tanzania Prisons in Sunday’s match.
