Ghana international, Jonathan Mensah was at the heart of defense as Columbus Crew came from behind to beat Chicago Fire 3-2 in the Major League Soccer (MLS) on Saturday.
Mensah, who was booked, played full ninety minutes and had one effort on goal.
Chicago Fire broke the virginity of the game courtesy Rafael Czichos. Mueller doubled their advantage to secure a comfortable lead in the first half.
Etienne’s 12-minute brace brought the game on level terms before Hernandez scored the match winner to earn Columbus Crew a narrow win.
Chicago Fire finished the game with 10 men after Miguel Navarro was given a red card for violent conduct in the 90th minute.
The victory means that Crew have extended their unbeaten streak to six.
