Jerry Afriyie nets brace for Lugo after returning from U20 AFCON

Jerry Afriyie made a significant impact for CD Lugo in their 2-2 draw against Gimnastic in the Spanish Primera Federion league.

The 18-year-old forward, who recently rejoined Lugo from the Black Satellites camp in Egypt, was instrumental in his team’s comeback.

Despite arriving just 48 hours before the match, Afriyie started the game and played a crucial role.

Gimnastic took a 2-0 lead through Antoñín and Joan Oriol, but Afriyie sparked a comeback by assisting Lizancos to reduce the deficit with 23 minutes left.

He then scored a late equalizer in injury time, securing a vital point for Lugo.

Afriyie’s performance earned him Man of the Match honors, and his contributions have been impressive since joining Lugo.

The young forward has now scored three goals and provided two assists in eight league games, showcasing his potential and value to the team.

His timely intervention proved decisive, and his ability to adapt quickly to new situations is a testament to his talent.
