West Ham United’s forward, Jarrod Bowen, showered praise on Mohammed Kudus for his man of the match performance in the Hammers’ triumphant Carabao Cup clash against Arsenal on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian international scored a wonderful second goal in the Irons’ 3-1 fourth-round win over their local rivals at London Stadium, either side of a Ben White own-goal and a rasping strike from Jarrod Bowen, as West Ham completed a deserved victory over the Gunners.
Kudus’s fourth goal in a Claret and Blue shirt came five minutes after half-time, when he collected Nayef Aguerd’s superb diagonal and put it into space with one touch, before shooting low past Aaron Ramsdale and into the bottom corner.
Bowen, recognizing Kudus’s exceptional talent, described him as a “really special player.” He emphasized their similar styles, both being left-footed players operating from the right wing, which enables them to connect effectively on the field. Bowen also praised Kudus’s touch and finishing abilities, deeming him a “top, top player.”
