It’s a privilege to score at the U20 Women’s World Cup-  Black Princesses forward Doris Boaduwaa –

 

Black Princesses forward Doris Boaduwaa says she feels privileged to have scored at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Hasaacas Ladies forward scored Ghana’s only goal in the tournament against The Netherlands in the final group game.

The Black Princesses lost the game 4-1 to exit the competition at the group stage.

Ghana failed to record a win at the group stages, losing all three matches against USA, Japan and The Netherlands.

Speaking an in interview on Happy FM, Boaduwaa said, “When most players get to the World Cup stage, they get frightened and can’t deliver so although it was a disappointing campaign, she is excited to have got a goal to her name.

“The World Cup is the biggest stage for any player to prove themselves and thinking of that alone can be frightening for some of us.

“If you are not really confident, you can’t pull your weights in the World Cup.

“So haven’t been able to score a goal on such a big stage proves I also did my best there”. She added.
