Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Samuel Anim Addo has questioned the rationale behind Samuel Boadu’s sack.
Boadu and the club mutually parted ways last week after a torrid start of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
After three games played, the FA Cup champions sit 13th on the league log with just two points.
Anim Addo speaking in an interview opined that the leadership of Hearts of Oak should have sacked the 37-year-old trainer before the beginning of the season to enable a new coach to take the team through pre-season preparation.
“Well, it is not a good one from my point of view because he (Samuel Boadu) has really done well for the club which hitherto struggled for trophies for many years,” he told Graphic Sports.
Anim Addo explained that the most successful managers in the world enjoyed longevity in the clubs; hence, it was wrong for Hearts to dismiss their gaffer after just a few years with the club.
“Traditional clubs should learn how to maintain coaches to stand the test of time. The most successful managers stay for long,” he stressed.
Samuel Boadu joined the Phobian Club from Medeama SC midday way during the 2020/21 season and won treble in his first season with the club.
