Attram De Visser head coach Godwin Attram says his side’s participation in the MTN FA Cup last four is not a mere coincidence.
The Division One side will take on Golden Kick in the semi finals of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Attram De Visser are participating in their first ever semi-finals of the FA Cup and could further make history by booking a final spot.
A win for Attram will see them take on either Asante Kotoko or Berekum Chelsea, two sides who play in the other semi-finals.
Attram have already booted out Ghana Premier League leaders Bibiani GoldStars and fellow Division One side PAC Academy, enroute to the last four.
“It is not a surprise because we really planned for it,” Attram told 3Sports.
Attram further clarified that the decision to fully focus on the FA Cup stemmed from Attram De Visser’s league position.
The club lies 10th in Division One Zone three, nine points above the drop zone.
“I realised that the league is not going well for us, so many things have been happening in the league. But in the FA Cup, a lot of things are being managed very well. So I’ll rather push my energy in the FA Cup,” he added.
Attram will be hoping to become the first Division One side to win the FA Cup since Nania FC in 2011.
