AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has admitted that Antoine Semenyo’s future at the club could come under scrutiny in the January transfer window.
The comments followed Bournemouth’s 1–1 Premier League draw with Burnley, a match in which the Ghanaian forward found the net.
Semenyo’s strike took his tally for the 2025/26 league season to eight goals, adding to three assists from 16 appearances.
His growing influence has coincided with renewed transfer interest from elite clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United.
Speaking after the game, Iraola acknowledged the situation surrounding his key attacker.
“He-Antoine Semenyo- is a massive player for us. It is not a big secret [he could leave in January],” Iraola said to the BBC.
Reports indicate the forward’s contract includes a release clause that becomes active during the January window.
Despite Bournemouth’s reliance on his output, the club is currently enduring a difficult run, going eight matches without a win.
Semenyo’s equaliser against Burnley once again underlined his importance to the Cherries’ attack.
